iGaming · Key points
Six ideas that explain how an iGaming business actually runs. Each one opens into the full starter pack if you want the detail.
01 · Starter pack
Who sits at the table, and where the money goes.
Operator owns the player: Providers own the games; aggregators, platforms, and payments sit in between.
Deposit ≠ turnover ≠ GGR: The same deposit of 100 can be bet until turnover reaches 500.
The edge is built in: RTP 96% means 4% of all bets stays with the house over time.
02 · Promotions
Know whose money it is.
Providers buy play: Tournaments, cash drops, free rounds, and placement deals for their games.
Operators buy loyalty: Welcome bonus, reload, rebate, referral, and VIP tiers.
Read it with the bonus ratio: Good deposits can hide expensive bonus. Never read one without the other.
03 · My workflow
Every decision traces back to a number someone can check.
Daily report: Export, clean, then start from what changed since yesterday.
Campaign launch: Terms support can quote, daily claim tracking, then keep, change, or kill.
CRM loop: Segment, export the exact list, act, and measure it in the next report.
04 · Reporting
The daily report is the operation’s memory.
Withdrawals are negative: So net deposit is deposit plus withdrawal, and that is not a bug.
Merge before you count: Resolve duplicate IDs and keep every brand separate, or growth is inflated.
A drop starts the investigation: Turnover, actives, FTD, channels, games, bonus cost: check before you conclude.
05 · The B2B side
Signed does not mean live.
Discovery before demo: Ask about markets, goals, stack, and gaps before showing anything.
The client is several people: Owner, product, marketing, ops, tech, and finance each need a different demo.
The contract defines reality: Integration, promotions, and account growth turn it into a live business.
06 · When a number moves
Search by symptom, not by terminology.
FTD dropped: Traffic → registration → KYC → deposit attempts → success rate → PSP.
Game will not launch: Game ID → currency → market → provider → maintenance → integration.
Know who owns it: Route to the owner with evidence, then communicate without guessing.

The edge is maths, not luck.
Every game here has a house edge, so players as a group lose over time. That is exactly why the industry is worth understanding in the open. This page explains how the business runs, not how to win, and it is not an invitation to play. Gambling laws differ by country.
